This Privacy Policy explains how Sephar-Innovations Ltd. (RC 8270852, TIN 32831735-0001) — "Sephar", "we", "us" or "our" — collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you visit our website, enrol in our training programmes, make an enquiry, or otherwise interact with our services. We are the data controller responsible for your personal data. Our registered address is 3, Church Street, Ajayi Farm Bus Stop, Temidire Estate, 112107, Lagos.

By using our website and services you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the services.

Your consent

By using our Site you consent to the conditions set out in this Privacy Policy. Where the legal basis for processing your personal data is your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time — for example by emailing info.innovate@sephar.dev. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing we lawfully carried out before you withdrew it.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you enrol, enquire, contact us, or create an account, we collect details such as your name, email address, phone number, country, organisation, role, programme preferences, and — for corporate billing — company details and tax information (e.g. TIN). If you upload documents (for example, proof of payment), we collect those too.

Account & sign-in information. If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information (name, email and profile image) from Google to create and secure your account. We do not receive your Google password.

Payment information. Payments are processed by our payment provider (Paystack) and/or by bank transfer. We receive transaction references and status, and the bank details you choose to share for transfers. We do not collect or store full card numbers.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we automatically collect limited technical data — such as IP address, approximate location/country, device and browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps — through server logs and cookies (see below).

2. Cookies & similar technologies

We use a small number of cookies:

  • Strictly necessary — authentication and session cookies that keep you signed in and secure the site. The site does not work properly without these.
  • Preferences — a currency cookie that remembers whether to display prices in Naira, US Dollars or Pounds based on your location.
  • Analytical — to understand aggregate, anonymous usage (pages visited, time on site) so we can improve the design and content.
  • Targeting — if/when enabled, to tailor the content or offers you see based on how you use the Site.
  • Third-party — set by services we embed (e.g. Google Analytics when you accept cookies). These are governed by the third party's own policies.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, or decline non-essential cookies via our cookie banner. Blocking essential cookies may break parts of the site.

3. How we use your information

  • To process enrolments, issue invoices, receipts, admission letters and certificates, and deliver training.
  • To create and secure your account and authenticate sign-in.
  • To communicate with you about your enrolment, enquiry, payments and support.
  • To keep accounting, tax and other records required by law.
  • To operate, maintain, secure and improve our website and services, and prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

We do not sell your contact details, and we do not share them with third parties for their own marketing.

4. Legal bases for processing

We process personal data under the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and, for visitors in the EU/UK, the GDPR. Depending on the activity, our legal basis is one or more of: your consent; performance of a contract with you (e.g. delivering a programme you enrolled in); compliance with a legal obligation (e.g. tax and accounting); and our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving our services, balanced against your rights.

5. How we share your information

We share personal data only as needed, with:

  • Service providers (processors) who help us operate — for example payment processing (Paystack), cloud hosting, secure file/object storage, and email delivery. They may only use the data to provide their service to us.
  • AI providers used by our content and productivity tools. We do not send these providers your enrolment or payment records; admin-authored content may be processed to generate drafts.
  • Social media platforms (e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook) only when an authorised administrator chooses to publish one of our articles — see the next section.
  • Authorities or third parties where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect our rights, users and the public.
  • A successor in the event of a merger, acquisition or reorganisation, subject to this policy.

6. Social media & third-party integrations

Our admin tools can publish our own articles to our connected LinkedIn and Facebook accounts. When an administrator chooses to publish, we send the relevant platform a short caption and a link to the article on our website — we do not share your personal data as part of this. Those platforms process the post under their own terms and policies (LinkedIn, Facebook/Meta).

7. International data transfers

Some of our service providers operate outside Nigeria. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected to a standard consistent with the NDPA and applicable law.

8. Data retention

We keep enrolment and financial records for as long as required for accounting, tax and legal purposes. Other personal data is kept only for as long as needed for the purposes described above, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

9. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including access controls, encryption in transit, and secure storage, with access restricted to authorised staff. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and respond to incidents responsibly.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) or your local supervisory authority. 11. Children's privacy

Our services are intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Third-party links

Our website may link to third-party sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; please review their policies.

13. Do Not Track

"Do Not Track" (DNT) is a preference you can set in some browsers. We do not track users across third-party websites over time, and we do not currently respond to browser DNT signals. We cannot control how third parties that interact with our Site respond to DNT signals.

14. Complaints

If you have a complaint about how we handle your personal data, please contact us first (see below) so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Nigeria, the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC); in the EU/UK, your local data-protection authority.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
